Programmable Microfluidics
Next generation single cell analysis
We are developing a revolutionary microfluidic platform that can manipulate individual microscopic droplets encapsulating cells with unprecedented flexibility. The droplets can be organised to perform massively parallel, sequential assays with multiple readouts. The droplets remain individually addressable allowing specific droplets of interest to be rapidly dispensed whilst maintaining viable cells in the dispensed droplets.

Finding rare events
The Lightcast platform is designed to have a high throughput and will be ideally suited to finding one in 10,000 or one in 100,000 events. We anticipate applications in a wide range of fields including:
-
Drug discovery
Applications in biologics and small molecule drug discovery workflows -
Cell line development
Ideally suited to CRISPR and other screening workflows -
Next-gen cell biology
Opportunities in a wide range of emerging fields including synthetic biology and cell therapy
